October Novel Prep Challenge

What a week! I use an ancient laptop which could give up the ghost at any minute. I write directly on WDC so that if the worst happens my work is safe. I can't afford a new laptop let alone any fancy software.

As to the writing, well, I wrote Murder by Numbers pantser style but this novel is a sequel, and prep has helped me see what more is needed on novel one as well as novel two.

Where I might need help is my secondary protagonist. Jess is thirteen, and it's years (Many, many, many years) since I was that age. How do youngsters think, act, speak?
