Yes. It is easy to do that. I try to write the assignments daily, but In my case this year, I put in a Saturday's assignment from the Friday night because I had stuff to do over the weekend. Then I posted Monday's assignment late in the evening on Monday, and there was the 72 hours in between. My bad!
It happens. Nothing to worry about. As long as I can finish and come up with a viable route to writing 50K or as long as the story takes.
