Greetings in mystery, mayhem, and madness: Salutation on all points of the triangle!

Welcome to the crypt, where two of our most implacable contestants have come to duel it out over the two excellent prompt alternatives posted by our good friend S. Serpent Author IconMail Icon yesterday. Each one is great in its own way, and as occasionally happens when entries use different prompts, direct comparison is too much for your judge's feeble brain.
