How do I shut off IM?
I was editing a story when I started getting SPAMed with IM pop-ups. I hadn't changed anything — I was in the middle of an edit — now it won't stop. I then went into My Account->Account Settings->Privacy Options and set IM Availability to No one. Saved – from the default Select from list. Still getting pop-ups.

I have no Idea what the messages are: My browser blocks them. But the Writing.com page is still internally popping up "You have 1 new message".

Why did this start, and how do I shut it off. I have no desire to IM. Email is good enough for me.
