So, if I understand this correctly, if a reader comes to my blog (main item), their view is tracked there. If a reader goes directly to an entry item, say from the newsfeed, their view is only tracked there. Which tells me that in order to gain the best evaluation of my readership (where the stats are), I need to be promoting only the main item. That's unfortunate, because I would then miss out on how much each entry is being viewed. It's a shame we can't have both, but at least I understand what's happening.
