An interactive exercise in creativity that all Americans past a certain age will remember.
It is very cold and snowing and I did fry up some ground beef and onions ... and forgot about it for a moment. No harm done but... "Look Pa! I got a poem out of it!"
The lesson learned? Always use what is in front of you to write. Even if it's a mirage. In short forms concrete images work best; there's no space for abstraction. One absolutely has to show. Here I use two images like in a haiku (not necessary in a cinquain, but it worked in this one).
I'm glad you thought it comical. I'm not funny when I try.
