The Clogyrnach is an intriguing Welsh form with several options. The basic form has six lines with syllable counts of 8, 8, 5, 5, 3, 3 and a rhyme scheme of a, a, b, b, b, a. Variants may combine the last two or three lines while maintaining the syllable counts with internal rhyme, as described and demonstrated in the following links:
