I've never written a screenplay either - I started once, but got bored with it before the end of the first page - it is too basic for me, too much detail is left to the actors and the director (and the scriptwriters who will tinker with the script).
However, if you want to write a screenplay, getting help from people who know how to make one is important. You can download some scripts to well-known movies at https://www.scriptreaderpro.com/best-screenplays-to-read/, and you can take a free scriptwriting course at futurelearn (part of the Open University outreach) here https://www.futurelearn.com/courses/screenwriting. I'm sure you can get plenty of help on this site too - just search groups.
