Don’t give up, you’re not alone in the struggle of getting the first chapter right.
J. K. Rowling rewrote the opening chapter of her first Harry Potter book fifteen times before it satisfied her. Now look where she is.
Don’t accept everything anybody says in a review, without looking carefully at their suggestions. After all, their review is only an interpretation of your work as they see it.
Going back to Harry Potter. I couldn’t sit and read it, but millions of people rave about it. So, we won’t please everybody all the time.
