UPDATES: I now have a submittable draft (06/25)

I managed to add all the dialogue I needed to my short story. I had to take a hacksaw to some of the paragraphs to get it under the word count, but, hey, I now have something I can submit. I still have the weekend to fine-tune it, but now I know I won't be missing the deadline.
