That's why there's a notification about nearing or exceeding your email storage space. It would be surprising that in being here 20 years without deleting old email, you've only used 91.7% of your email space. With a free membership, you've only got 5MB of space, and that fills up pretty fast. With your email usage so high -- up to 91.7% Used now, without old sent emails -- reacting to the notice that you needed to delete email in order to keep receiving it, or to resume receiving it, still seems to be the most likely reason. If there were many emails at all in that folder, and you hadn't deleted them already, you would need to delete them now in order to resume email delivery.
