October Novel Prep Challenge

I just read your premise, and your primary conflicts are political. But any monarch has non-political issues vying for her attention, too. Famine, pestilence (!!!), economic disaster, a main power plant burns to the ground and takes out a huge chunk of the power grid... Just when your Boudica thinks she has the boy's club figured out, throw her some London fog or a peasant uprising.
