Changes Autumn, the Soother, quiet, cool, and gentle. The earth slows down and paints itself with a feast fit for the eyes -- colors vivid and subdued. Gusts blow multicolored leaves away into the air, plucked from waiting branches. Whirling, swishing, twirling, a feast fit for the ears -- all for those who listen. Autumn, serve your feasts, delights for keen observers. Allow the earth its preparation for rest, for peaceful slumber. ~ ~ ~ 16 lines Poet's Place Cafe prompt: Perspective - Write a poem about the concept of change. (11.21.21) |
