Truth be told I probably would have gone the opposite direction if only because it'd at least make a little more sense to me in his parents being pissed at him than them seemingly believing that he actually did just randomly Uber from school to come home and talk to her to call his dad because his truck wasn't working as opposed to simply using his phone to call his dad (or even her) from school. There's some times a level where Will's parents come off as annoyingly quick to pounce on him if they so much as sniff or at least convince themselves that he's put even a toe out of line.
