Form of the week: Zejel

The Zejel is an ancient Spanish form with Arabic influence. The structure consists of a rhyming triplet (there is a variant that uses a couplet) followed by any number of quatrains. In each quatrain, the first three lines rhyme with each other, while the fourth line rhymes with those in the first stanza, as described and demonstrated in the following links:
