To My Dear Dog You were dear, you were fine, oh, my sweet brown-eyed girl, I’m so glad you were mine. The years flew by too fast, and then you had to go. Now, our time is long-past. But sometimes I still hear the click of your big paws. Just my longings, I fear. Though my grief’s yet inside, time has softened the pain.
