The issue was particularly with the system trying to show more than 1 use of comic on the same page and/or in the same page load...
It was not related to tag layout at all.
95.25% sure I've fixed it.
@northernwrites ... please test on your end. Also the forever old newsletter tag leaking issues should be fixed now... I took some time to compartmentalize each section similar to how the newsfeed posts are handled to avoid leakage.
