There is. You must be added to a group created by the forum owner for this purpose.
Let the owner of the forum to grant you with edit access. It has to be set under the forum's ADVANCE settings and then Group Edit Access. There's a specific group edit level that needs to be set as well. Whatever level you are in the group, it must coincide to the Group Edit Level setting in the forum for it to work.
