Looking for someone to brainstorm with!

I started writing a paranormal/suspense/adventure novel set in the Appalachian Mountains. I am looking for someone to help brainstorm plot ideas.

After reading the Serafina series by Robert Beatty, I wrote the first section in my story. I really don't want to change it, as I like it very much, so I'm looking for creative ways for make pre-book events tie into the book.

And as a fan of basically all myths and legends (thanks to Percy Jackson),
I would like to incorporate the hideous Raven Mocker of Cherokee origin in as the father of my protagonist.

Please post any ideas that you want to share!
