Well, my first suggestion for this site is to read through writing.com 101 linked at the top right of the screen. Also, I reckon this is the sort of question that should be in the general discussion forum; this is more for those technical difficulties that occur when using the site.

As for novels, there are a few groups that do longer works. Type into the search bar and make sure you look through all of writing.com not just your port. The problem is, they are long to read for feedback so groups are probably the best way to go.

There are a few published novellists here. Self-published and traditional, so you might even be able to find some of them and link up with them to act as a sort of mentor... but you should also be able to offer something in return, being a reader, etc. (not just GPs).

Novel writing is a challenge at first. It is different to short stories, poems and scripts, and getting your head around those differences is an interesting mental exerccise.
