Greets, To be clear on what northernwrites is saying: Writing.Com filters (literally) millions of emails as spam that never make it to member email accounts. Anything that goes to your spam folder is what the filter would consider "questionable - maybe spam, maybe not". But for sure tons of spam is outright dumped at the time of receipt, never making it to your SPAM folder at all. Spam filtering is a delicate balance. We can't over filter because losing real mail is way worse than letting a few spam through. Spam creators, on the other hand, are consistently working to earn their keep getting around those filters. As soon as a new filter is created, someone has created a new work around. It's those edge case work arounds that end up in member inboxes. It's just not literally possible to catch them all, especially for a smaller site like Writing.Com. Google? Sure - they have thousands of engineers working to prevent as much spam as possible... even with that, believe me when I tell you I *still* get some spam right to my gmail accounts. But I am curious -- Just how many, specifically in terms of spam emails per day, are we talking about with your account? Best wishes, ~~SM A Few Helpful Tips...
