I'm sorry your sister has so many problems! That royally sucks!! And borderline personality disorder is no joke to deal with! Yikes! Was she sexually abused? It's a common cause.

I am glad she had some positive results with EMDR, though.

Interesting that the therapist suggested dissociative identity disorder. Many don't believe it exists and I'd heard rumors it was removed from the DSM, though I'm not home right now so I can't check. As for her not responding to sounds sometimes, when you are getting better, that can start happening, but I suspect that isn't what's going on.

If she doesn't want to do EMDR, she's probably not going to be interested in ART, if it's even over there, but you can try. Good luck!!

I can't imagine the shock of seeing a hole in your brain! Though I love that joke you use when you forget a name! It's both funny and shows a sense of accepting limitations with a positive attitude, IMO. Good job!
