The Contest Challenge

I'm not sure if you are a bit unclear about how to do the challenge or about how to post makeup entries or if you just forgot, but I'll review. So, when doing a makeup entry, I do need you to tell me the month and year you are making up. So, the title of this should have been "Kit'z Higher Rating Contest -- February 2017" or whichever month and year you wanted credit for so I don't have to hunt it down and so you get credit for the month and year you intended since most contests have been highlighted more than once.

If you didn't intend to get credit for February 2017, let me know which month you did intend for it to be. If you didn't realize you had to apply the contest for a month it was highlighted, I can give you a pass this time and apply it to July 2022, but your previous entries was applied to January 2021, so I sort of assumed you are just skipping around. If not, let me know if you need help figuring things out. Basically, you look at the dropnotes for Previously Highlighted Contests to find the contests for the month and year you want credit for.

Sometimes there will be nothing open. If it's a contest that is only open sometimes, say something seasonal, just wait since you don't have that many months yet. But if nothing is open and nothing is seasonal or whatever, then you can reach out to the contest owner you want to and ask them if they are going to open up again. Sometimes they were already thinking about it or they just need to know someone is interested. If you are close to getting 12 months in a row and there is nothing open for the months you need and they aren't going to open anything, feel free to let me know and I'll be happy to find something for you.

Remember that you need 12 consecutive months, though they don't have to be all in the same year. You can do November 2020 - October 2021, if you'd like. So far, I have you down for February 2017 and January 2021. It looks like you might be trying to do the whole challenge, which is awesome! The rewards are amazing! But you do need to speed up the work if that's the goal. lol You're pretty far behind. Though your entries never expire, but if you aren't doing at least 1 entry per month, you are actually getting further behind and if you are only doing 1 entry per month, you aren't actually catching up, just maintaining things. Of course, the speed is up to you and I know life can be so annoying, but I do want to encourage you to try for at least 2 entries per month, if you are shooting for the whole catchup. It will still take you a long time at that rate, but you'll eventually get there. If you can do 1 per week, that would be fabulous! Just find a rate you can work with so you don't burn out.

To inspire you, some of the 2023 prizes are going to be 500k for each person, 100 CRs for each person, and each person can design and have their very own commissioned MB! Naturally, I do hope you will give me one when you get it, but officially, that's not an obligation. Anyway, I hope this encourages you to work hard and fast, as much as possible without burning out, of course. And if you miss the January 2023 deadline, don't worry. January 2024 will have pretty awesome rewards as well.
