Thanks for these two reviews, Lyn. I found them really interesting as I've actually read both of these books, and that makes a change.

The Outsiders. As you said, it's Stephen King. Not a lot else needs to be said. I've never read any of his books before this one, but I chose to read it for this reading challenge. I wasn't sure about it at first. I felt it was a little slow. But once the scene at the courthouse happens, it really takes off. I couldn't put it down.

Atonement. I really enjoyed this book. The thing about it that really surprised me was how affected I was by the descriptions of war and soldiers. I haven't really read a lot of this kind of literature, and it kind of took my breath away. I wasn't expecting that.
