You're the second person to point out the resemblance to me. (The other came in an email.) In fact, I've never seen that series all the way through to the end (only the odd episode here or there, in fragments) but as soon as the phrase "Number Three" popped out on the page, I too was immediately taken to the same place.

Does the resemblance point to a plan? No. Might there be "rhymes"? Anything is possible.

Since there is no plan, it's not a spoiler, I suppose, to reveal that when doppel-Will gets his number, he will be Number Six. And that assignment, at least, was intentional.
