While I don't want to upset The StoryMaster...

1. The operating system is the underlting way the computer looks at and reads everything. Windows 11 is the latest, and so is standard. It comes preloaded on your PC. BUT... if you can, go back to Windows 10. Windows 11 is rubbish.

2. Find the link to Edge in your menu. Right click, and then click on "create desktop shortcut"

4. URL is the address of a website. In Edge (or other browser - I prefer Brave) go to the address bar right at the top and type in "http://www."etc. or "https://www." etc. So the URL for WdC is "https://www.writing.com/"
