The Contest Challenge

WHOA! YOU'RE IN KOREA?!? AWESOME!!! I've been to over 60 countries and Korea is my favorite...well, recently tied with Israel, but yeah, Korea is AWESOME! I've been there 3 times, lived there for a year, and am doing a study abroad to go back for a month in May/June. I've only been to Jeju once, but it was nice. I hope you have a total blast!!!

Regarding when you need to finish by, there's no time limit. If you had finished by today, you could have been in the Newsfeed Celebration I'm running, but it's totally fine. The only thing is that I like to wait until I have quite a few folks (preferably at least 5) to celebrate before doing a celebration. I've found if I'm only celebrating a couple of people, folks don't seem to think it's worth it? And they don't participate enough. So, you can finish whenever you want, like it can literally take you years. But you'll get celebrated when I have several people who have finished...or like now, I'm pre-celebrating the folks who have done the entire challenge since the beginning (mostly as catchups) and tossing in the folks who needed to be celebrated, but there weren't enough people. But once January starts, it will ONLY be the special folks for the Giant January Celebration.

Actually, I said you can take years and officially that's correct. But I have been pondering stopping the challenge NEXT January (2024) because it will have been 7 straight years and I regularly think I don't want to do it anymore. But I wanted to give folks PLENTY of time to catch up on anything they had half finished. If you want to do the Giant January Celebration then, you are welcome to. You'll have a lot of catching up to do, but Dragonfish has been doing that these last couple of months and is hoping to be in the January one this year. We'll see. She still has several to finish. Though I do officially allow folks to catch up until January 31st. However, if you do that, while I'll still send you things like the 500k, you did miss out on the Newsfeed Celebrations, so you won't get those CRs. She's been celebrated twice just because she's finished 2 years, not because she's in the group of folks who have finished every month since the beginning.

Anyway, don't sweat the challenge. Have fun in Korea! It's an awesome place! Come back to it when you can. Just be sure to finish before I shut it down. Though I have been pondering maybe trying to make it 10 years instead. We'll see...
