Seems to work almost perfectly . . .

When I search with a display name, I just get the badges given by that person. However, when I search using the username, I get those badges plus any badges given by others that have that person mentioned in the badge's description (e.g. gifted by the person but given by someone else).

That's actually pretty cool. I did try to search for Given badges, and that worked, although I don't know if I ever mentioned anyone in the descrption to someone else who I also gave a badge to.
