Thanks for these reviews. I love the sound of the book about spices and flavourings for food. I really like that kind of book. I love to try out new recipes, and I love random facts that no one else appreciates.

The knitting book is not so much for me. Although I know knitting and crocheting are both popular at the moment, I could never get the hang of it. My Mum used to have one of those big knitting machines (a la 1970s) and that was fun, but I even used to mess that up! This does sound like an interesting book for anyone who enjoys to knit, though.
