You ever write something and you're like "Wow! This is a solid piece of writing! The information is interspersed and not just dumped in the readers lap, the world building is interesting and cohesive, I have hit the major plot points perfectly and the characters feel fleshed out and multi-dimensional!" ........ Yeah, me neither.
This week, I am wanting to work on putting feeling in places other than character dialogue. I struggle with letting my emotions flow through me as I write and tend to keep it very cut and dry. It's always been a struggle because I am always worried about influencing my characters perceptions of their world if I allow myself to write with feeling.
My plan is simple: Take piece I didn't like and rework it, this time allowing myself to write with ALL the feelings. Hopefully, I can then find the perfect medium between both.
