Question of the Day!

Being able to get any fruit or vegetable at any time of the year has pretty much done away with the “seasonal availability’” but I have to admit white peaches (a favorite of.mine, but any peach is a favorite) in the winter months are not at their best, but then I’m not at my best after several thousand miles of trip either.

The best fruits and vegetables are locally grown and picked in season when ripe. We “LOVE” our local farmers market, it runs the entire year on weekends and on Wednesday during the summer so we always have fresh vegetables of some kind year round. Local peaches and pears are a marvel in the summer. There is a local Pear variety that I love when we can get them that’s a bright red color.
