Along with Shanachie , there's also Nikola-Spooky Dog Mama , who regularly posts about her library exploits on the Newsfeed--without the Community Newsfeed, I wouldn't have ever found her. Though I think Grateful Jess might have just left her library job in the last couple of weeks, I could be wrong and I think she worked there for like a decade, so she might still be able to offer info even if she has left.

But if they can't give you ALL the info you want, I'm pretty sure librarians and historians in the towns you are interested in can provide more info about themselves and towns nearby that may have merged into them or disappeared altogether, Marvelous Friend.
