It might be that the activation email is being trapped by a spam filter somewhere along the line, either in your local email client or by your email provider. Have a look to see if you can find a spam folder in the email software you use on your device. If there's nothing there, try checking your provider's website. You might able to log on to your account through their web page to see if it's being labelled as spam, preventing it being downloaded to your device. As a last resort, contact your provider's helpdesk.
