It's not really city technically speaking. But since it has loads of people, covers several square miles and offers goods and services, Universal Studios Orlando. My Niece and Sister in Law invited me along. Their good intentions were kinda a road to hell for me. The weather wasn't unbearable because it was late November but that is the only positive thing I can say about it. I was too wide hipped to ride most of the thrill rides. (which is what my niece wanted to ride) The food was overpriced and tasteless. There wasn't much for a "potato" on a budget to do. I couldn't afford much of anything. Oh yeah and we had to return the scooter my sister-in-law rented long before exiting Universal's shopping complex. So my brother-in-law had to push his wife around in a wheel chair. Oh and a cherry on top of the night? It was dark out, the elevator we had just gone up broke so we had to find a ramp to the first floor. After walking for miles and miles, most of it without stopping, we got lost. My niece tried to tell us to turn around because we were headed the wrong way.(I didn't say a thing because I know my in-laws have tempers and I don't like fighting.) My brother-in-law had us all walk to the park entrance instead of the parking lot. Then he screams "Fine, we're turning around but my knee F***ing hurts!" I was so tired and had no empathy left to give so I broke away from that train wreck and navigated to the car using landmarks I remembered. Unfortunately I called my niece and then loudly and rudely informed her that I hadn't enjoyed things that day. I get back to the car. My Niece has gone all crying to her mom so I caught holy hell from "momma bear". I was still really out of sorts and my sister-in-law being pissed at me didn't help my mood at all. I yelled "I'm sorry!" And stayed silent for the rest of the night. I was so mad I threw away my only keepsake from that outing. I was so upset I couldn't sleep the rest of the night. So yeah, I got turned into "the bad guy" by that trip. I never want to see or go near any Universal Studios ever again! |
