While looking through the Genre list, I was struck by the fact that I could watch most any genre ... in the form of mini-series. These four to eight episodes that culminate in a final and complete solution is more satisfying than waiting up to two years for the next movie installment. At least, for me. Some of my faves: The Queen's Gambit, Shogun, Centennial, Godless and even Roots. That said, I'd return to Science Fiction and watch a series or a franchise made from Isaac Asimov's Foundation series. The main Trilogy books, the Prequels and the Sequels would provide enough fodder for many captivating movies.   |
