Here's another thought I'd like to share, after the child's violent drawing on a math assignment with desperate phrases: “The thoughts won’t stop. Help me. My life is useless.” Why didn't the school call in officers? With all the shootings, I believe any credible threat should be turned over to the authorities.

It seems to me quite a few adults looked the other way.
