Question of the Day!

Once (Grade 4) some friends and I had a secret.
A rather unpopular girl in the class tried to ferret it out and we gave her some incorrect information. However, we told her it's a secret, pretending it was the real thing.
She spread it to others in class.
I hit her.
She said I'd really hurt her and she'd 'tell teacher'.
I said I'm not scared of teacher, I'll tell her myself.
As soon as teacher walked in, I stood up and said, "I hit her today"
Teacher asked 'Why'
I said "we had a secret and ..."
Teacher finished my sentence, "she gave it away? Traitor. I don't like traitors."
End of conversation!
Not 'exactly' a dare, but an implied one.
