Re: Notes added to page disappear

Item # 1865784 does not exist.

But to your question: No, it's not an intermittent "site-wide" type of problem. While I wish I could take the burden of this from you and tell you the site randomly decides to undo changes, that just doesn't happen. *Heart*

Unfortunately, user error of some type can make this happen. There's a few ways you can accidentally do this to your own items.

It's important to always double check to make sure your changes stuck right away after you submit something for an edit or a new item or post, etc. Be extra sure you didn't get an error when you submitted telling you there was a problem and the changes weren't applied.

Aside from that, other ways to accidentally "undo" changes would be by editing from an already open / un-updated version of edit window. Try not too have too many tabs open on your browser, or one can lose track and then accidentally make edits to an old version or accidentally overwrite changes with a new version... Be sure to always close edit windows and don't keep them open in other tabs, because you can easily flip back to an old version of the edit screen that doesn't contain the current body of the thing you're trying to edit. Also... If "group edit" exists for the item, two or more people making edits can cause the issue -- or someone may complete an edit from a "stale" version of the item.

You can also use your "Portfolio" -> "Item Edit Logs" to verify the timing of changes and edits. With your "Premium Membership" you also have access to the item's "Revision History" which is linked in the Item's own Tools *Gear* menu. The Revision History keeps a history of all changes (including time and date) to the body of an item.

Hope this helps!
