I love this question ... and all the answers. Great pros and cons. My first thought is if a reader of my item is that far off, what did or didn't I do to make it clearer. If that reader was the only person to miss my (anticipated) mark, I would think it's not my offering. In that case, what would I want from such a situation? I'd really want to know if I missed the mark badly. Someday I might be in the position to repeat my unwarranted explanation (for whatever reason) and that may create a problem down the road. Finally, that person's opinion may actually provide some insight to my offering I had overlooked or never considered. I would certainly provide feedback.  |
