"I had just opened another tab.. and then it said I had to log in."

Yes, I follow the "another tab" part of it, but I'm looking for a little more detail on what specific activity. Like what page on Writing.Com are you trying to open that this happens? Are you opening a new tab and then typing "Writing.Com" into the tab? Are you opening a specific link into the new tab? How are you opening the tab...

Since this seem to happen on the "new tab" action, we need to better define what's happening when you open a new tab. What specific activity on the site in that tab causes this to happen for you? It's like if you walk into the doctor and say "my arm hurts"... the doc is going to need more info to try to figure out "why" your arm hurts.
