I definitely prefer detective stories. While I do like getting a good scare now and then, the only type of horror I care for is what I like to call "cozy horror." You know, the kind where you don't get a lot or any real blood and guts gore, just a thrill. However, my preference is detective stories because I've always been a true crime/fictional crime junkie. I mean, I can watch Joe Kenda or Joe Friday solve crimes all day long!
