Tools of the trade: Personification

Personification is a literary device by which animals, objects or ideas are given human characteristics, as in "the sky is weeping." This technique gives deeper meaning and makes expressions easier to understand, because readers always see things from a human perspective. Your assignment: Write a poem from the point of view of some inanimate object, such as a "Snowflake.
