Is the love interest mortal or immortal?
Is the love interest a living entity or a concept?
Is this a kid in lust, I mean, love, with a voice on the radio? ((How many remember Dusty SPRINGFIELD in the 60s?))
Is this an old fart lamenting the loss of his older dog? ((Heartbreaking, I know. And he knows if someone brought him a pup, the pup would outlive him.))
