Now or Never Day after day, my world feels narrow; night after night, the present ticks by. Impossible to go back now. I see my time is running out. It’s late. I tell myself, “Fly like a sparrow! Don’t analyze the when, where, or why.” My will is weak, and I can’t move. I search for grit and want to shout, “Don’t wait!” ~ ~ ~ 10 lines Poet’s Place Café prompt: Brady’s Touch form ( 2 five-line stanzas / syllables per line – 9.9.8.8.2 9.9.8.8.2 / rhyme scheme – a.b.x.c.d a.b.x.c.d, where x is unrhymed ) (09.15.24) |
