You could just get a herpetologist to handle the snakes. Seriously though? Most snakes only attack when they feel threatened. The Rattle Snakes would just find a warm rock, some dead leaves or some other object to hide under. Plus that rattle always warns before there's danger of being bitten. They aren't that aggressive. You're more in danger if you step on one or provoke it. Boas on the other hand are instinctual squeezers. They often kill their owners who have them draped around their neck whilst preparing the snake's food. Boas pose more of a danger to small children and animals than weary adults. Neither one would actively pursue an adult human. Despite what urban legends and anecdotal evidence say. (Just observation from my own studies of cold blooded predator behavior.) Honestly, I think packing the snakes into barrels would do more damage to the snakes than whomever you're attacking.(Plus I don't like doing something that cruel to any animal, just my opinion.) While snakes might not be great fighters, they are great lovers. After forming a great big ball of snakes under ground to hibernate through winter, there's a giant snake orgy in the spring time.(at least with garter snakes.) |
