I'm really pleased my strange main character made the cut, because I went in worrying that I'd kinda ruined it before I began—I wasn't sure if I'd be able to interest readers in a character who remembered basically nothing at all about his recent life and how he'd come to be in his current situation. But I had a ton of fun writing it.
