A map! Perfect!

I use real-life settings all the time. For my NaNoWriMo novella #2, I reckon I have a real-life setting, and my son is going to be there in 2 weekends' time, so he's going to take photos for me and send me as much as he can. I've already downloaded a map online.

Still make sure, if you want it to ring true, that you have the culture of the place and the foibles of the general population down. It might not make your story, but it will inform the people who are tertiary and quaternary characters.
