Absolutely not. Spirituality is personal, period, and has nothing to do with religion (which is merely a tool used to tame the masses). I'd see my child home-schooled before I allowed that. Besides, which religion would said school system choose to allow? All of them? One of them? Would there be a vote? It's all rather absurd.
Teachers--bless their hearts for educating our children in many necessary skills--should have nothing to do with guiding our children spiritually. Just thinking about it strikes fear in my heart and makes me think of boarding schools for the indigenous, meant to make children forget their own heritage and traditions. Sounds like gigantic leap backwards.
