I am someone who has only written for my own eyes and just purchased Strunk and White but has not read it yet. I'd like to run a poll: how many of you who write feel a Harvey Spectre (or any TV show character) like confidence about the quality and novelty of what you write, and how many do it just to put it out and not worry about the uniqueness or the greatness of it?
I feel overwhelmed to stand at the public square and shout like this. I'm confident a few tomatoes will be thrown at me, but life anyways does that.
