After my first wife dumped me, she had a kid with the other guy, who then ghosted them both (this was before "ghost" was a verb, but that's what he did). When the kid turned 6 or so, I gave him a cheap electronic drum set for his birthday.
So my answer is: I feel great about them as a means of revenge, but I'd never get one for my own kids, if I'd ever had any.
